Match summary
A friendly against Redbourn Rovers, arranged to fill a blank league weekend. With two regular defenders away, three players stepped in at the back and showed real discipline, taking turns to hold position and push forward.
The Romans went 2–0 down against the run of play but kept pushing. Two fine goals in the second quarter pulled them level, before a hard-won battle in midfield, a driving run and a composed finish put the boys ahead.
From there the Romans took full control, passing smoothly out from the back and adding goals at a steady rate, including a superb strike from outside the box. Clever runs into the area kept the defence busy all game.
Non-stop running from every player and a well-deserved 9–3 win.
